  • 01-10 July 2027: Communication materials for LCDF Brochure & Website

  • 6-10 Sept. 2027: Transport and Set-up for the exhibition

  • 11–19 Sept, 2027: Exhibition, Jury choices & Award Ceremony Week

    • The high-profile showcase at the Lake Como Design Festival 2027, aligned with the historical bicentenary program on Lake Como

    • Location to be announced, we anticipate circa 40-50 exhibits


Submissions

Submissions will comprise the following materials. Depending on the nature of the specific project, not all items may apply. Detailed instructions for the submission process will be shared at a later stage.

  • Concept Board: Visualizes aesthetics, ergonomics, and seamless integration with Lake Como's cultural, socio-economic, and ecological landscape.

  • Prototypes: Small-scale 3D-printed renderings or working functional prototypes (e.g., applications, new sensors, energy systems).

  • Technical Dossier: Details propulsion systems, energy management, materials used, structural calculations, and compliance with safety standards for inland navigation.

  • Exhibition Materials: Posters, display boards, artwork, early prototypes, or physical models.

  • Project Trailer Video: A 1- to 3-minute short video introducing your solution, target users, and key benefits.

  • Navigation 5.0 and Ethics Report: A brief lifecycle assessment (LCA) outlining carbon footprint reduction, recyclability, and operational energy efficiency, alongside strategies for supporting local stakeholders. It must also include a statement detailing your approach to the ethical challenges encountered during the project.
