  • 01-10 July 2027: Communication materials for LCDF Brochure & Website

  • 6-10 Sept. 2027: Transport and Set-up for the exhibition

  • 11–19 Sept, 2027: Exhibition, Jury selection & Award Ceremony Week

    • The high-profile showcase at the Lake Como Design Festival 2027, aligned with the historical bicentenary program on Lake Como

    • Location to be announced, we anticipate circa 30 exhibits


Submissions

Submissions are composed of the following. Some projects might not have all of them by the nature of the project. The details of the submission process will be shared at a later stage.

  • Concept Board: Visualizing aesthetics, ergonomics, and integration with Lake Como's cultural and socio economic and ecological landscape.

  • Prototypes: small scale 3D printed rendering or working prototypes of functional solutions (applications, new sensors, energy systems,...)

  • Technical Dossier: Detailing propulsion systems, energy management, materials used, structural calculations, and compliance with safety standards for inland navigation.

  • Exhibition materials: posters, board, art works, early prototypes,...

  • Project Trailer Video: 1 to 3 minute short video showing your solution and stating its users and benefits

  • Navigation 5.0 and Ethics Report: A brief lifecycle analysis (LCA) detailing carbon footprint reduction, recyclability, and operational energy efficiency, as well as how you envisage supporting the local stakeholders. A Statement about your approach to the ethical challenges encountered during the project.
